Dog Point set screws are categorized into full dog point set screws and half dog point set screw. They comply with DIN915 standard. Both of the full dog point socket set screws and half dog point socket set screws are equipped with extended tips that fit into holes drilled in shafts. This feature is used in permanent location while attaching one part to another.
Full Dog Point Socket Set Screws: Standard or metric full dog tip ended set screw, while maintaining the spindle in a locked position, enables the shaft to rotate freely. Full dog point set screw usually could be with general tolerance of ±0.13 mm, which allows these set screws to be used for high precision applications. These fasteners are available in a wide range of thread diameters and lengths.
Half Dog Point Socket Set Screws: Standard or metric half dog point set screws feature a flat tip. This flat tip is typically located within a shaft groove on the fastener, assisting in the rotation of the shaft, while retaining compression and holding both objects in place. These metal pieces are mostly used for permanent rotating part settings.
