Din916k Allen Drive Headless Grub Set Screws Stainless Steel 304 316 Hexagon Socket Knurled Set Screws With Cup Point
The Socket Set Screw is also known as a Grub Screw. It is almost always driven with an internal-wrenching drive, such as a hex socket (Allen). The set screw passes through a threaded hole in the outer object and is tightened against the inner object to prevent it from moving relative to the outer object. It exerts compressional or clamping force through the bottom tip that projects through the hole.
The Knurled Cup Point Set Screw features a serrated ridge on one end which provides better holding power. It improves the grip and helps to reduce loosening due to vibration.
Material:
Stainless steel 18-8: A corrosion resistant steel alloy. The most common stainless steel for general hardware use.
Stainless steel 316: A highly corrosion resistant grade of stainless steel. Ideal in salt water and chlorine environments.
