DIN 7516 thread cutting screws are a type of self-tapping fasteners. Equipped with a cutting flute on the thread, they remove material and cut mating internal threads inside pre-drilled holes during installation, instead of just displacing the material.
The special thread geometry delivers clean thread formation, lowers installation torque and reduces stress on the base material. They create strong, vibration-resistant joints.
